Memory Site service terms

These terms apply to RSVP Sites, Signature Memory Sites, and Custom Memory Sites purchased from Surreal Memories. They supplement the general policies published on this website.

1. Service and delivery

Payment starts production. A private client workspace and fallback website address are normally generated after payment confirmation. Customer-provided content, DNS changes, custom design review, and third-party service availability can affect the final public launch date.

2. Package scope

The selected package includes the features shown at checkout and one year of managed hosting. Custom Design includes original art direction and two reasonable revision rounds. Material scope changes, additional design rounds, domain registration, paid third-party licenses, and unusually large migrations require a separate written estimate.

3. Hosting and renewal

The first year of hosting begins on the purchase date. Current annual renewal prices are $149 for RSVP Sites and $249 for Signature or Custom sites. Renewal is not charged during the initial checkout. We will provide advance notice before any renewal and identify the renewal date in the client studio.

4. Domains and DNS

An included Surreal Memories subdomain is provided. Customers may connect a domain they control. Domain purchase and renewal are not included. Custom domains become active only after ownership or DNS is verified and a valid TLS certificate is issued. DNS propagation times are outside our control.

5. Customer content and permissions

You retain ownership of content you upload and grant Surreal Memories permission to store, process, resize, display, back up, and transmit it only as needed to provide the service. You confirm that you have permission to use uploaded photographs, names, email addresses, messages, music links, and other materials.

6. Guest data and acceptable use

Guest information may be used only for the associated event and lawful communications expected by those guests. You may not upload unlawful, infringing, malicious, deceptive, or abusive content; send unsolicited bulk email; probe the service; share account credentials; or attempt to access another customer's data.

7. Privacy controls

New sites begin as private, unlisted drafts. The site owner chooses when to publish and whether access is public, unlisted, or password protected. Search indexing is always opt-in. Public guest names and guestbook messages require explicit display choices or owner approval.

8. Cancellations and refunds

Because site provisioning and creative work begin after payment, completed setup and performed design work are non-refundable. If you request cancellation before substantial work begins, contact us promptly; any discretionary refund will account for payment fees and work already performed. This does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.

9. Availability and backups

We use reasonable safeguards, monitoring, and backups but cannot promise uninterrupted operation or permanent storage. Keep original copies of important photographs and documents. We may temporarily suspend a site to address security, abuse, nonpayment, or legal requirements.

10. Support and changes
